To restore backed up data, common restore procedures require the same hardware, same Operating System and same Backup Software used to perform the backup.
Usually, it is unthinkable to recover previous Backed up information without having at least the same backup solution installed. This procedure is a major time consumer.

Backup procedures are just a part of the technology within the BOS solution. BOS unique data survival method completes its tasks only after a complete Recovered Data is accomplished. The restoring of data protected by BOS?s system does not depend from the Backup Server hardware?s, Operating System?s or Backup Application?s health.
With BOS the data is already recovered and can be dragged and restored from the recovered area without any dependencies. BOS recovers any version of any document, either a current, deleted or an archived one, with a single mouse drag and drop.
With BOS Web Interface end users can independently restore any document from their BOS protected (already recovered) folders. This restoration is applicable without the need of any installation at the end user?s station - just by using Internet Explorer.

BOS recovers the Outlook / Exchange items to separate documents simulating the Outlook or Exchange appearance and eliminating the single point of failure that damages most Mail Systems. With BOS it is possible to immediately access the last arrived Mail or to the last minute Scheduled appointment in damaged MSOutlook or Exchange mail systems. With BOS, a working Exchange System is not compulsory to view and handle Exchange objects.
The Enterprise Manager Service allows the monitoring and control of multiple backup servers across the corporate or public networks. This service allows the accomplishment of different backup processes according to focused local needs in inner or outer corporate niches.
