Judging by the developers' description of the software, Magic ASCII Studio seems a promising choice. Yet, in our tests of its trial version, the utility failed to maintain high expectations.

First, the program lacks such features as ASCII Art Photo and ASCII Art Signature that are to be there according to the description.

Second, users can definitely experience some difficulty when trying to view html files made by ASCII Animation Maker. In our case, the only elements that were displayed in the browser window were a colored page and a smaller flickering window with scrollbars.

Finally, Magic ASCII Studio's Word Art and Free Draw options, though they perform all right, are rather far from users' practical needs. These options seem to offer nothing more than just pure fun drawing images or words with different char configurations.

In this review, we haven't mentioned some more flaws (like inability to optimize the image in the image conversion stage) that are likely to cause trouble as well. All told, we cannot recommend Magic ASCII Studio as reliable software.
