Video Avatar
If you are looking for a like no one else's avatar or for an avatar featuring your favorite actor and can't find what you want, Video Avatar could be of great assistance. The tool lets you create your own animated GIF avatar from any type of video: a movie, a cartoon, a music video, etc.
After you have chosen a video clip, you need to take several simple steps to create an avatar. Using a handy time range bar you must select the initial and the final frames for your animation. Then you need to indicate a region that should be cropped, specify the output size in pixels, and decide on the number of frames per second, as well as whether the animation should be played in reverse order when over or not.
Although the software is good on the whole, I must admit that the quality of produced results suffers since the gif animations turn out to be dithered. Apart from the dither noise which spoils the impression, there is also a watermark covering a considerable part of an avatar in the trial version.
