SurfPack.com Editor Review of Free Morphing

Free Morphing
With its free purchase and a professional-looking example of two politicians' images swiftly merging into each other, Free Morphing looks a promising choice. However, things turn sour as soon as you start trying to morph images yourself.
In contrast to many other programs of the kind, Free Morphing lets you make transitions only between two images, which have to be equal-sized. First, you need to draw lines on one of the images to indicate its key features. These lines are automatically transferred to the other image, where they have to be adjusted to new features. This process is not very time-consuming. Yet it is almost impossible to achieve a smooth transition between images, even if you indicate the key features in a most detailed way. Besides that, we were dissatisfied with a number of other things, such as the lack of the in-program help (there is no help file at all) and the inaccuracy of the program's interface, which does not fit the screen size considerably, leave alone many advanced features (like a built-in e-mail feature) that are present in other programs of the type.
On the upside, you can create sequences of any number of frames - the more frames you have the smother an animation is - and when the animation is complete, you can view it frame by frame.
Overall, the software cannot be called a failure, but its flaws prevent you from getting the full enjoyment as you watch one face gradually merging into another.
