Infima Compression Library
Infima Compression Library, being a new compression tool, is sure to win many rivals among common programs of the kind, because, according to its developers, it is based on revolutionary technologies and possesses a far better compression ratio and speed. Indeed, in our tests, the software produced impressive results, compressing images with a compression ratio of about 30 % and making text files up to 8 or 9 times smaller in size. Unlike Infima Compression Library, WinRAR, for instance, has a common 20% compression ratio when compressing images and makes output text files approximately 7 times as small as the input ones.
While working with the program, users can define compression ratio and compression rate. A handy feature of the software is a result chart that shows input and output file sizes and the number of bytes saved.
The only drawback, as it seems, is that in contrast to such popular compression tools as WinRAR and WinZIP, Infima Compression Library is unable to compress several files at a time compiling them in the same destination.
Overall, the software produces a good impression and has all the chances to stand the test of time.
