HyperSnap performs virtually all types of screen capture from standard full screen capture to text and video capture.

Taking screen captures as images, you can grab all sorts of areas, like full screen, active window, rectangular or free hand region. In addition, you can capture specific objects like buttons, controls or a mouse cursor.

There are quite a bit of tools letting you edit the grabbed images. Indeed, their choice seems to be excessive with some tools being superfluous, although this depends on your needs. The most useful are probably those letting you insert text and adjust color.

HyperSnap offers text capture which could appeal to some people. This is handy when normal copy-paste function won’t work, for example in case of error messages or program dialogs. If not all of the text is visible, you can perform capture with auto scroll.

Moreover, the program allows you to capture images from a 3d game or video.

While the software offers a great variety of possibilities, the program interface is not quite user-friendly. You might need to read the help document carefully before starting to perform some types of capture.
